Since March 31, Tribal Council has suspended non-resident recreation on tribally-owned land and restricted residents of the reservation to day use recreation only.  These modifications are similar to restrictions that are currently being implemented to minimize exposure and community spread of the COVID-19 virus.  These measures remain in place indefinitely with on-going discussion concerning possible future changes. Non-residents of the reservation will be directed to leave the area. Tribal Game Wardens are working regular shifts and have been patrolling daily.

Our membership can also be a big help in this effort by calling to report non-emergency non-resident individuals on the Flathead Indian Reservation.  The Safety of Dams Program / Natural Resources Department 24/7 dispatch call center at 406-275-2774 will receive these calls.  The conflicts will be directed to the first available Tribal Game Warden to respond.

Tribal conservation permits are required when recreating on Tribal land for all non-member reservation residents 12 years of age and older. Fishing permits are also required for non-member reservation residents 14 years of age and older, both can be purchased on-line.  Please visit Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks website at www.fwp.mt.gov

During the Shelter in Place order, outdoor recreation is one of very few activities allowed, as long as social distancing is implemented. For more information contact the CSKT Division of Fish, Wildlife, Recreation & Conservation at 406-883-2888.
