TITLE:                                   Multimedia Specialist

 

LOCATION:                          Information Technology – Pablo, MT

SALARY:                              $19.32 to $22.21 per hour CLOSING DATE:                                                Open Until Filled                 SPECIAL CONDITIONS:

This is not a Testing Designated Position (TDP) within the definition of the CSKT Drug Testing policy. The successful applicant if not already employed by the Tribes must pass a pre-hire drug test and will be required to serve a six-month probationary period.

 

DUTIES:

The Multimedia Specialist is part of the Information Technology Department with primary responsibility to lead social media and multimedia efforts for the Information Technology Department.

 

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Responsible for helping set up equipment required for virtual and in person meetings/gatherings/etc.
  • Edit tribal content before it is made available on YouTube, etc.
  • Moderate tribal webinars.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Tribal Council, Tribal Court, and other audio recording platforms.
  • Facilitate production of in-house training/informational videos.
  • Evaluate current and future conference rooms for audio and video configuration.
  • Work closely with internal and external web creation teams.
  • Provide guidance to departmental social media teams on posting their own videos.
  • Monitor usage and assign appropriate level of license of video conferencing software to users.
  • Assists in planning logistical and administrative arrangements for all set-ups, coordinating or meeting with necessary stakeholders to arrange for services and equipment.
  • Maintains multimedia presentation equipment and software.
  • Serves as the organization’s technical specialist performing and managing special multimedia projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (AS REFLECTED ON THE TRIBAL EMPLOYMENT APPLICATION)

  • An Associated Degree in liberal arts, English, communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, or a related field OR 2 (two) years of professional experience in a social media or communications role.
  • Experience in producing, editing, and disseminating multimedia content for online audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail, an insistence on double checking work with an exacting nature, and pride in delivering quality products.
  • Strong ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and multi-task (must be comfortable with quick turn projects).
  • Analytical thinker with skills in interpreting multimedia or social analytics to inform strategies and communications plans.
  • Strong editorial judgement and instinct, especially around ethical and political awareness.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their audiences and understanding of multimedia content, including how it can best be produced, packaged, published, and shared on social media and with members of the media
  • Proven ability to conceptualize, plan, and execute ideas effectively and efficiently
  • Proactive problem solver with strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Team player, with the confidence to take the lead and guide other departments when necessary
  • Must be able to work independently and collaborate within internal team and cross-team settings.
