TITLE:                                    Salish Kootenai College Board of Directors

One (1) Partial Term ending 8/4/26               

LOCATION:                           Pablo, MT

CLOSING DATE:                  Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 5:30 p.m.  (MST)     

DUTIES:        

Salish Kootenai College is currently accepting letters of interest with resumes included for One (1) Partial term ending 8/4/26 vacancy.  The letters of interest and resumes must be submitted to the Tribal Personnel Department.  The Board consists of seven (7) members appointed by the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal Council.  Each member must be at least 18 years old and be an enrolled member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes.  The board meets the second Wednesday monthly.  The board members set policy for the general operation of the college, advocate within the community and occasionally travel to regional and national meetings. 

Tribal Council policy adopted in March 2007 states:

“An employee of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes who is applying for a board or committee vacancy is required to submit along with the Letter of Interest, a letter signed by the immediate supervisor and the Department Head authorizing the employee to apply for and serve on the board or committee.  Any Tribal employee serving on a board or committee that is not directly related to the position the person holds in the Tribal organization, is required to use leave or leave-without-pay to attend all meetings, participate in any activity associated with the board or committee, or for any travel related to the board or committee.  Tribal employees may serve on no more than one (1) board at any time.”

SUBMIT:                   

Letter of interest (letter of interest must include what the applicant feels they can contribute to the board) and resume that includes educational background, employment history and business experience to Tribal Personnel Department, PO Box 278, Pablo, MT  59855 (406) 675-2700, ext. 1040 or personnel@cskt.org

The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal Council will make the final selection.

FAILURE TO SUBMIT ALL OF THE ABOVE INFORMATION WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION DURING THE SCREENING PROCESS
