TITLE:                                   TLC Live-in Manager

                                                                                       

LOCATION:                          Salish Kootenai Housing Authority – Pablo, MT

 

SALARY:                               $11.80 per hour (1-year contract position)         

 

CLOSING DATE:                  Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. (MST)

 

This Position is not a Testing Designated Position within the definition of the CSKT Drug Free Workplace Policy effective January 1, 1998.  The successful applicant, if not already employed by the Tribes must pass a pre-hire drug test and serve a mandatory six (6) month probationary period. 

The Site Manager will be required to live at the Transitional Living Center (TLC) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  The Manager must report absences of more than 2 hours from TLC to the TLC Case Manager before absences.  The Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Transitional Living Center. 

Will provide guest orientation, maintenance of grounds and facilities and be responsible for the general welfare of all guests.  Will provide services as needed for guests by coordinating with the Salish & Kootenai Housing Authority’s (SKHA’s) TLC Case Manager.  Will coordinate on-site maintenance and upkeep of grounds and facilities with guests.  Will clean and do minor repairs of vacated units to prepare for next guest.  The Manager will be required to keep the Manager’s unit in a clean and sanitary condition that meets with the Salish and Kootenai Housing Authority standard.  Will provide input to the TLC Case Manager on proposed program design, changes and decisions.  Will be responsible for all monthly and daily expenses of the Transitional Living Center and to bring monthly budget information the TLC Case Manager.  Bring guest and tenant suggestions and input to the TLC Case Manager.  Will attend case meetings between guests and the TLC Case Manager. Will handle any in-house personal problems that may arise and attempt to resolve issues.  Will address visiting community/tribal groups as needed. Will be responsible to perform unit inspections, late night grounds walk through, and morning check-ins.

MINIMUM RECRUITING QUALIFICATIONS AS REFLECTED ON TRIBAL EMPLOYMENT APPLICATION:

 

  1. Must be 21 years of age.
  2. Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  3. No felony or misdemeanor convictions in the past year, except for minor traffic citations.
  4. Must meet minimal Health Standards.
  5. Must never have had a felony or misdemeanor conviction involving child abuse, sex offense, and assault with a deadly weapon or violent crime against another person.
  6. Must not have any record of habitual use of alcohol within the past two years.
  7. Must not have any record or history of drug abuse within the past two years.
  8. Must not be the subject of a current investigation involving criminal activities or indictments.
  9. Must not have three or more moving traffic violations in the past two years.
  10. Must not have a Driving While Intoxicated or Reckless Driving conviction within the past three years.
  11. Must not have been dismissed or resigned from a previous position due to threat of disciplinary action that could result in termination of employment during the past three years.
  12. Must be of moral character.
  13. Must possess the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
  14. Must be a role model for the community, youth and families.
  15. Must possess or obtain CPR and First-Aid training.
  16. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. or more.

 

SUBMIT:

  1. Completed Tribal employment application.
  2. Copy of academic transcripts, applicable certifications, etc.
  3. Copy of driver’s license.
  4. Proof of enrollment from a federally recognized Tribe if not from CSKT.
  5. If claiming veteran’s preference, a copy of the DD214 must be submitted.
