Some Per Capita Checks Delayed
Some of the August Per Capita checks will be delayed due to postal congestion through the Missoula Post Office. The CSKT Accounting office wanted to inform everyone as soon as they learned of the delay. The Accounting staff was briefed Wednesday morning that heavy delivery loads trigger a post office policy that allows the federal agency to take one to two days to make deliveries. However, all Per Capita checks should start arriving in mail boxes Thursday. The Accounting staff apologizes for the long delivery time.
Those who are interested in signing up for direct deposit of their Per Capita can do that by clicking this direct deposit link or going to CSKT.ORG and looking under the Government pull-down menu and then the Enrollment pull-down menu. The Accounting staff encourages everyone to consider direct deposit because it is faster and more secure than mailing a check. Wednesday morning, 1,800 direct deposits, a full-third of total payments, were made without a post office delay.
